The Olyphant/Gugino scene

OMG.. the finale of that scene was HILARIOUS. Great how crackling the chemistry was between them.. and how great their chemistry was on "Justified" as well. Always been a huge fan of both actors. Really is an amazing cast. I am not even half way through, but I love how Olyphant was used here.

Sorry to say but Timothy Olyphant is a wonderful actor. Sadly though he seems to end up in films that are generally beneath him. I don't know if its him exactly or his director, or maybe he's just never given enough time to do the job. But when he's given a good director, its amazing how fun he is to watch.

Anyway.. sorry, a bit rambling, But I did love this scene. This feels similar to an experimental film Wayne Wang did a few years ago.. "Smoke" and "Blue in the Face" about a large ensemble cast and the characters flowing from one film into the next. Although this clearly feels like a followup.

I have seen this referred to as a spin off of Women in Trouble. I would say no, this is a sequel. The only huge difference seems to far is that two sets of characters aren't involved from the first. We instead focus more on Elektra as the center but still revolved around by characters from the first.

Regardless, enjoying it quite a bit.
