Season 2 Episode 3: The Strange "NOTO or NARDO" ??? Scene

Wikipedia says it's NOTO, another REVIEW says it's NARDO. Whatever the case may be ...

does anyone have any idea what the strange scene is all about where Harper is left alone while Cameron's wife is busy, and then Harper notices that she's surrounded by what looks like a pack of predatory males???

Were they prostitutes for hire?

Why did they stare at Harper as if they were about to attack her, but when she returns Cameron's wife doesn't notice this, even after Harper points it out to her???

reply

I think she was imaging them.

Hi Togan,

Thanks for your reply.

According to a Review/Recap you're partly right. But what it says is she imagines they were looking at her when it was actually Daphne that they were looking at:

https://thecinemaholic.com/the-white-lotus-season-2-episode-3-recap-and-ending-explained/

Harper imagines herself as the center of attention of all the men around her (They are actually interested in Daphne).

And that makes sense because the way that she's dressed Daphne also looks like she might be a hooker.

Since they're located on an ISLAND, was also thinking the men might be SAILORS who were on leave???

Because otherwise it just doesn't make any sense that no other females seemed to be around at the time.

The REVIEW/RECAP also suggests that the entire episode is about SEXUAL POLITICS.

"The Sicilian setting seems to add depth to the narrative as it explores sexual politics as its primary theme"

🤔
