Why is this so hated compared to the original?

This one had a more mature battle tested Sarah Connor in it.

It had 2 Terminators like T2

And Arnold was a good guy

So why does everyone like the original better?

Altering the timeline is a slap in by fans because people really don't like it when a movie undoes everything from a much better movie.

T3 screwed things up too... it didn't get dates and ages of characters right. It was a big departure in many ways from the first 2 terminators but it doesn't get nearly as much hate as Genisys.

The scene where John Connor and his buddies easily kill like 20 terminators with 5 shots and go “Pew Pew” is why. What idiot wrote this movie?
