It's like the Never Say Never Again of the Terminator franchise

It's got the original famous lead in place but it sits on the side on it's own, not really part of any of the rest of the films in the canon.

I'm watching it now - you're right - it was a "never happened." However, Dark Fate basically wiped Salvation and Terminator 3 off the canon as well.

Never Say Never Again happens to be my favorite Bond movie

It was my first Bond movie. It'll always have a special place in my heart. And it's definitely better than a number of other Bond flicks.
