Why is everyone so well fed and fat?

From T2, we see that the future is bleak, there is little food, lots of running around, everyone is thin and malnourished

Cue Terminator Genesis written with a "y" because why the fck not...everyone is plump or fat or ripped.

Kyle Reese himself has this dumb baby face full round look that makes you think he's got a beer belly underneath his clothes and eats one too many war rations when nobody's looking, despite him being relatively fit shirt off.

John Connor's two boxes of doughnuts away from sporting double chins...

So wtf anyway, did they all start eating the dogs in the future?

Radioactive rats are chock full of carbs.

Because after the 90s our real world started sucking

GeniSYS is written with a "y" because it's the brand name of a new Operating SYStem.

Who is thin and malnourished in T2? In the future? Sure, because that's after the war in a timeline where Skynet got active. Or do you mean present day T2 where young John Connor lives? The doctor isn't in shape, many of the bikers are fat, etc.

I'd say we saw mostly normal looking people in both movies.

My concern is moreso that in 2029, everyone looks so well-fed AND looks like they take 5 hours a day to work out!

A far cry from the 2029 in Cameron's first Terminator, where John looked like a man who hadn't had a square meal in his life, and was somewhat shell-shocked from being in a world where you were almost afraid to sleep, lest you let your guard down and be killed by Skynet.

It's like the world 'Terminator:Salvation' gave us, where instead of the aliens constantly hunting down humans, the humans are able to have helicopters and planes and heavy weaponry!

The way John described the run on Skynet in the first film, it was like they threw every last bit of their power to storm the encampment and take on Skynet...but in Genisys, the aerial support just made me go, 'Oh come on!'

"Thanks, guys." "So long, partner."

Yeah, it's actually more unbelievable than what can be seen on The Walking Dead.
