What music was the Delilah character listening to?

Most of the music other than the "live Band" was American country and western, but the music the Delilah character was listening to on the cassette tape in the car was not in English. I think it could be Portuguese, and I thought it was great. Does anyone recognise it?

Yeah it was lovely, it must be Ana Gabriel as listed on the CD soundtrack here http://shop.abc.net.au/browse/product.asp?productid=308058

She has lots of music available at Amazon here http://www.amazon.com/Ana-Gabriel/e/B000AP80NY/ref=ntt_mus_dp_pel

Hi she is mexican and is singing mariachi, tradicional mexican music. The text lyric here

sabes
pasa el tiempo y no te veo
cada vez estas mas lejos
y yo gusto mas de ti, porque

sabes
yo pense que era mas facil
olvidar tu forma fargil
de siempre dar sin recibir, solo tu

eres tu quien me ilumina
mi pequeno talisman
y aun recuerdo esa rutina
de gozar cada manana
en los momentos mas dificiles
fuiste tu ese divan
en nuestro amor ya no hay secretos
sabe todo de los dos
y deja afuera nuestros miedos

vuelve quiero estar contigo
ven y calma esta ansiedad
vuelve y salvame que muero en esta soledad
que roba el valor a mi vivir

eres tu quien me ilumina
mi pequeno talisman
y aun recuerdo esa rutina
de gozar cada manana
en los momentos mas dificiles
fuiste tu ese divan
en nuestro amor ya no hay secretos
sabe todo de los dos
y deja afuera nuestros miedos

vuelve quiero estar contigo
ven y calma esta ansiedad
vuelve y salvame que muero en esta soledad
que roba el valor a mi vivir

vuelve quiero estar contigo
ven y calma esta ansiedad
vuelve y salvame que muero en esta soledad
que roba el valor a mi vivir

Thank you for this; I was wondering where I could get a hold of what Delilah was listening to also!

Ana Gabriel is the artist.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ana_Gabriel

She is a super famous, like Barbara Streisand famous, singer in Mexico of Ranchera (kind of like northern mexican country ballads) and pop music. She's been around since the late 70's but her heyday was the 80's. Probably her most famous single is called "Es Demasiado Tarde" ("It's Too Late") Or at least, it's my favorite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2jMcOsW5Qc
