I enjoyed this, however...

This movie had a quiet intensity that carried me through, however I felt it was a little too understated in parts.

Austria: Where multiple bank robberies, a murder, two lots of sex and a prison break is boring. Also, the Austrian police force is MASSIVE having literally hundreds of guys to comb what appears to be the only wilderness + hill in the country, and no one smiles, ever. (Not even during sex.)

I did like it though!

i liked it to as i gave it a 7/10 (maybe a 7.5) but when you look at it the way you worded it, it sounds bad. lol (but i would not say it was boring personally as i was not bored at all)

and no one smiles, ever. (Not even during sex.)

Well as hot as Franziska Weisz is it won't even matter as she's quite attractive as this is the first film i have seen her in but the moment i laid eyes on her i she immediately grabbed my attention ;)

she needs to be in more films.

p.s. for the record... she does actually smile at parts in the film.

I think the music, or more lack there of, gave it the quiet intensity. So many films now are about high music scores and explosions to give you the action entertainment. I think that was the best part of the film with his car scenes and robbing scenes as he ran down streets and through buildings, it gave it more realism to me and felt like at times I could have been his partner running right behind him trying to get away.

I like realism. That was the best part to me. These days, there is sooooooo much CGI and special effects and they are obvious when in use and as soon as they are, I usually lose interest in a movie.

Just saw it. Liked it. Reminded me of Revancche a little bit.

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.
