I enjoyed it as well. I'm surprised by the negative reviews. Granted, I'm not a mushroom expert at all so this was all previously unknown territory for me - but I thought it was informative and interesting.

The negative reviews baffle me. The people of focus in this film are NOT "dirty hippies". They seem like genuine, intelligent people to me. As to why a reviewer would be angry that the film made mushroom hunters out to be "stoners/hippies" is beyond me. That's not the impression I got.
Crappy effects? I don't think so! The intro credits had me grinning with glee. Good effects/title sequence set perfectly to The Flaming Lips. Plus, the reoccurring questions throughout with the little mushroom-guide were cute and animated quite hilariously.
I'll be buying this film.
My only complaint is that it's too short and most of the information I already know (and I'm just a mushroom novice!). It was cool to see McKenna & Allegro in there though.
Loved the part with the two wastes of oxygen that munch on magic mushrooms.....
God, I would have loved to see a couple skinheads beat the snot out of those parasites to mankind.
