Was it as powerful for everyone else?

Watching this movie through my eyes, as someone who lives 20 min from Stavanger, was very powerful. It felt very... Epic, grand, awesome etc. But maybe that's because I'm so familiar with the town.

So I'm curious if the movie managed to give that emotion to other people? Even people from larger cities where robberies of this magnitude are more common?

Well what really struck me with this film is how badly shot it is.

The camerawork is really bad and the movie reminds me of those reconstruction scenes they do in documentarys (what this movie should have been).

So no I didnt't like it

I certainly understand why a viewer wouldn't like this because of certain aspects of the film. I think the 'cinema verite', 'POV' cinematography is a big turnoff for a lot of individuals but I think was shot intentionally this way to accentuate the frenetic activity by all involved parties during that heist (the police, the robbers, the innocent passers-by, et al). Just my opinion. I rather enjoyed the no-frills, matter-of-fact approach. No needlessly overblown hollyWeird cr*p. MY question is: who did the soundtrack? Reminds me of eno or steve reich...possibly massive attack. Have read thru the credits several times now and, unless i missed something in the norse language, can't find any mention of 'original music'. Any ideas anyone?

The music it's done by Geir Jensen aka Biosphere: www.biosphere.no. Look under Discography > Soundtracks.

Check out his other stuff - absolutely phenomenal!

Biosphere is God. I have all his albums and have 2 double LP's currently on the way to me from Tromso!

And I'm going to see him in Ireland in April :)

I really liked it. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. A norwegian Paul Greengrass at some points. The ending was a bit of a letdown. I knew how the real story goes (as I am norwegian) but I would have liked to see the aftermath of the robbery as well. But a 8/10 for me. A decent flick.

I felt exactly like the OP. It was very strong to watch. Since I lived in Stavanger at the time it was very powerful to see this. It felt unreal.

I found it very powerfull and entertaining. I like movies that don't stick with the usual hollywood style, and I LOVE movies that are realistic!

I've watched this 3 times now. I found it incredibly gripping & very realistic.
And reading up on it after my initial viewing, the real life sequence of events were extremely well portrayed. Very powerful, like a docudrama with with actual balls.

Nah I felt none of those feelings, I did think it seemed very realistic tho and that was the main reason you kept interest cause let's face it...

When it comes to characters, this movie has nothing to offer, and emotionally very empty as well BUT it's meant as more a documentary approach on what happened so therefor it still worked somewhat

You gave yourself a name. I gave mine up.
