a lot of obama hate here

i'm wondering if the stark outpourings of anti obama sentiments on this board are a result of the film's underlying message of gun control. are all of you pissed off simi-literate teabaggers riled up after watching some guy with a bunch of guns kill people, or are you afraid you might loose said guns to new laws? i've seen a lot of different theories for what this movie might be about, (socialism, over population, greed) but one such theory is strangely absent. would the killing spree depicted in this movie have taken place in a country where automatic guns were not available to the general public? somehow i don't think so. maybe this movie is less about population control (which is a fu<king joke) and more about lazy apathetic american youth with access to high powered ultra deadly fire arms. think about it.

You could also make a law to abort all male fetuses and chain all girls to desks where they would play Angry Birds all day. This would end all war, drug abuse, crime, accidents, eradicate AIDS, etc.--think about it.

Fully automatic guns aren't legal, and I doubt a 23 year old who wants a raise to earn $9 an hour would ever get his hands on any through illegal means.

But go ahead and keep letting stupid fictional movies be your sole education about firearms in America, the lefties are counting on it.

It hardly matters if guns are made illegal. It will only take guns out of law abiding citizens hands. As for Automatic weapons on the black market..apples and oranges. One really has little to absolutely nothing to do with the other. There will always be a black market whether assault rifles, automatic weapons, or all guns are banned,

There will always be guns in the street. Taking them out of law abiding citizens hands is a flawed idea and concept. That has nothing to do with left or tight it just is the simple truth.

People who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

Go to Mexico. Extremely strict gun laws, but still lots of murder. Way more brutal and brazen than this film depicts.
