what's up with the camera work?

I am getting dizzy watchingthis film....
Wtf? This is not suppose to be Cloverfield type of film, why can't they hold it steady?

reply

its supposed to be an avant garde style, so yea being seasick is normal

The most annoying, distracting camera "technique" since The Bourne Ultimatum. If there's one thing that will make me turn off any movie, it's this. Totally unnecessary, over-zoomed, completely un-stabilised, artsy nonsense.

reply

it's not art if it makes you barf
I felt sick the first 10 minutes of the movie untill I got used to it

p.s. this forum lacks clear seperation of ones signature

reply

they think its ART to keep shaking the camera, why they dont put the camera on the floor and kick it like a ball.

The camera work was fine... There was only 10 pages in the script so alot of the movie is improvised therefor it makes alot of sense that they had to go the handheld route

I'm gonna refuse you an offer you can't make

reply

It makes no sense at all and was in no way fine.. if they wanted to go mobile so badly then they should have used steadycam..

I had to rate this film down for the bad shaky cam camera work... It had so much potential but was scarred by the horrible camera work. I am neither a Boll fan nor a Boll hater so the identity of the director or the writer is immaterial to me.. This could have been a solid 7/10 movie but I had to rate it down to 5/10 because of the camera work.
