Poor Waitress.

I felt sorry for the poor waitress. I mean come on maybe it was her first day or maybe she was having a bad day. But that was sad when Bill shot her just because what happened when Bill was eating with Evan. Anyone else agree with me on this?.

reply

He had to kill her, eye witness accounts from the previous day puts his friend in an aggressive light, basically he killed her to make it look more like his friend committed the rampage

reply

that makes sense. good call red skin. i just thought he was being a dick lol, well, i mean he was being a dick, but i thought he was killing her just because he was mad about yesterday

It became obvious to me why he killed her when shot the friend.

I think you're giving Uwe Boll too much credit with that theory. Sure it makes sense, but in Boll's mind, it was probably just mindless vengeance.

reply

You're an idiot Bagelbutcher, just saying

reply

Don't you know that ending a comment with "just saying" is tired and played out?

reply

And so is making fun of Uwe Boll, we'll call this a wash, just saying

reply

You're both morons. Just saying.

reply

Not as big as Uwe "The Funny Version" Boll. As long as we're just saying.

reply

What got me about it was that the previous day he kept telling Evan "It's alright, leave it" when Evan was getting angry. I therefore couldn't understand why he made a special point of killing her. You've just explained it.

reply

*beep* a five year old thread! Sorry I'm so late, but do you think bill planned that out? That he knew his friend would have a shït-fit about something, and he saw that as a good way to establish motive for Evan?

reply

Honestly, his friend seemed like an outspoken and "loud" person, not literally, but he seemed like the type to make a spectacle out of himself with his personality. All he had to do was take him to a place he'd hate. I don't think he thought the spill would happen, but just like the fake money, he took him to a fast food joint because shooting that place up and making a statement out of it would be just like him.

But I think maybe he just expected to go back and yell similar *beep* about the chicken place, just as he did at the bankers with the fake money burning, but she had the confrontation with his friend so he just utilized that.

reply

Yeah, I think you're right. Love this movie. I'm watching the second one now. Hopefully the third one will be released in the next year or so. Thanks for the reply, bro.

reply

I don't get why she was at their table messing with stuff in the first place. It looked to me like she was trying to take his food away while he was eating it.

reply

or she got something wrong and was trying to correct it.

Rule one though.

Don't *beep* with people that handle your food

I watched it last nite and came back here to see exactly what the heck she was doing. I saw it on netflix, rewound it once, and still didn't understand. It seems James's guess is most likely. That whole scene sucked when it shouldn't have, hard to understand what was going on. Bad camera angle when she was behind the register, hard to understand what she was saying. I do agree that I also felt really sorry for her when she was killed, especially when nobody else was in the store, but it was a good call and went very well with the theme of the main character.

reply

ultimately. I state its just bad writing and bad directing.

people give uwe too much credit

I'm someone who watches this movie every night, because it helps me get to sleep. First time round, I didn't question the scene. 2nd time round it didn't seem right. 3rd time round I concentrated very closely on her mumbled words. The explanation is definately that shes getting something she left out on the order, and the last 10 viewings it changed from "Let me get your icecream" to "*mumble* refill your drink"

reply

She was trying to take the tray Bill's food was on. I'm not sure about all of the mumbling before and after, but that's what she was trying to do. How she knocked Evan's salad off the table is a mystery, but there it is. I have to say that before this film Uwe Boll was on my Three Worst Film Makers of All Time list - the other two are Ed Wood and Godfrey Ho - and I'm trying to decide whether he should now be removed. On the other hand, I still remember BTK Killer . . .

reply

BTK was made by ulli Lommel. not Uwe Boll

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today

reply

You're right.
I don't know how I got that wrong.
I've reviewed The Hills Run Red on here and correctly identified the director of BTK Killer in that ... old age.

reply

it's just you xD

p.s. this forum lacks clear seperation of ones signature

reply

Her customer service when she waved in Bill's face with the condescending 'hello' was a little out of order.

Granted she didn't deserve to be shot for it but I didn't mourn her passing and the rationale to it happening was to assist in framing Evan (at least for long enough to give him time to properly get away).

Poor waitress? Hell no, that b!tch shouldn't have messed up their table.

Bill and Evan were acting pretty arrogant around her in the beginning of the film. I can't really blame her for having such a bad attitude at her job, especially dealing with someone like Evan. But Bill and Evan blew everything way out of proportion. They were trying to act so superior over her. Like something she said or did just wasn't good enough for them. They were both trying to point out every single little character flaw that they could about her. Bill held onto that waitress's bad attitude with a grudge. As a result, she became a target during his rampage, along with the guy at the coffee shop. And plus, I think Bill killed her, in order to add to the plot of framing Evan for the rampage in the end. Which honestly, wasn't a really slick plan at all.

But to answer your question...yes, I felt bad for the waitress. At least her death was quick and super random. The ladies in the salon definitely received the worst set of circumstances of being executed.
