Never mind Cyrus John was the weird one!
I found the way John kept going to his ex for advice and using her as a shrink, with no regard for her feelings and her future husband was weird!!

shareThat was a bit strange but he's definitely not more weird than Cyrus.
shareI think the only really normal person in the whole movie was Tim, the fiancee of John's ex-wife, who was quite clearly on a couple occasions getting pretty pissed off with her continuing indulgence and contact with Schlubby.
I can see if you have a nasty and malicious personality going along with your fiancee allowing her ex to hang around, stringing him along as "just friends," ultimately a power play for you since she has chosen you over him, but after a certain period of time I'd say, "OK, you are divorced. No kids. No reason to talk to him any more. Tell him to take a hike. If he needs a shrink let him go out and find one."

4) You ever seen Superman $#$# his pants? Case closed.
She didn't seem to mind ("no regard for her feelings"), and if the future husband has a problem with her having a shrink-needy friend, that's his *beep* problem. John wasn't supposed to be the typical "normal" person, but he was reasonable in general, not a bad person.
