Who was Stacee Jaxx supposed to be?

I mean, I figured he was a fictional character but i imagine they based the character off a singer or singers from the 70s and 80s rock bands. My first guess would be Axl Rose among others. Maybe some Van Halen, Ozzy thrown into the mix too. Thoughts?

reply

I wouldn't say Axl Rose because in 1987 Appetite For Destruction had just been released and in 1987 Stacee Jax had already been famous for many years.

No Louis, you're mistaken. It's not me.

Steve Perry from Journey??

reply

He's just any singer from that era. Any and all rolled into one. Don't over think it, man.

And the flowers are STILL standing!

reply

Just a generic hair band douche.

reply

To me he is supposed to be a generic hair band singer who seems to be a mix of Axl Rose & Kid Rock.

reply

According to the director, Axl mixed with Keith Richards and Jim Morrison.

I'm mainly seeing a lot of mid-90's Axl.

reply

I was thinking Axl mixed with Jim Morrison. Didn't even think of or see Keith Richards in there. The alcohol and drug use could be any hard partying metal band back then, in particular Motley Crue.

He forgot there was some Leslie Nielsen and Michael Bolton mixed in as well...

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

reply

Definitively some Nikki Sixx from Mötley Crue.
The black long hair and the similarities with the names.

Stacee Jaxx has two pistols tatooed to his crotch - a nod I guess to the song Stick to your guns, written by Nikki Sixx, and the cowboy-theme of Wanted: dead or alive, by Bon Jovi (who also has a song called Stick to your guns) that Stacee sings.

reply

See, I always thought the guns went along with the rose on his chest to reference Guns n Roses because Stacee was based on Axl

reply

He reminded me of Bret Michaels to be honest.

Esta es mi firma

Too many people trying to figure out who he was or whatever.

Just a stereo typical rocker from that era.

Isn't that enough?

He was great by the way.
