The scene where they had the girl and Asian boy strapped down to a big contraption with lots of tubes and injections and bottles and other alchemy, looked like they were getting a transfusion of some sort, but why? This scene was never explained at all. Really annoying.
shareMom and son appeared to be gathering blood from striped socks and tofu to sprinkle into the ground (and seems like somebody talked about needing to feed the earth) and attract the mud sons to dinner (them hanging above). It looked like one of those machines that embalmers use and some of the blood appeared to be going into a tube back into their mouths - which I didn't get either. The process severely weakened striped socks and tofu making them easier to handle. I don't get why mom and son took time to brand striped socks and tofu. Also wonder how old the mudmen, mom and son are b/c those old photos looked 1940's-ish like maybe old WWII pics of them in uniform -- which would make her 92 at best.... What are mom and son doing to stay young?
