Not sure what to think

I've watched 2 episodes and I'm barely hanging on. There's a lot of slow-paced buildup going on involving some demon (I think), but the story isn't so interesting that it makes me wanna hang on to see what happens. It's pretty much a found-footage show and I'm not the biggest fan of that genre.

Lead guy is a okay actor, but he has caused me to turn on the subtitles because he's so hard to understand. It's almost like his mouth is full of food. Lead girl is also pretty good in her role. Most impressive so far is the young girl who runs the halls of the apartment complex. (She definitely has a secret, tho) She's charming and is a good little actress.

Maybe I'll revisit if someone says it gets better.

It's too urban

Another tedious “found footage” horror story in a long line of tedious “found footage” films. Yawn.

i watched the whole season. (had to watch this with 1.5x speed ... yes, another netflix show that is f*king slow and should have been trimmed to 40 minute per episode instead of 60 minutes)

it doesn't get better after the first two episodes, imo. you might wanna skip the rest...

Thanks for the warning.

Its the ideal program for people who are used to spending a lot of time watching people ramble on poorly shot video footage.

The narrative is dragged out with tedious and irrelevant rambling. If they could get Rosemary's Baby done in 136 minutes, why does this show need 480 minutes for a very similar kind of plot?

They also nearly throw out the found footage concept, flipping from found footage to third person normal footage much of the time.

This would have been way more interesting at about maybe 1/3 of the length.

The discoveries and action ramps up quickly by episode 4. I thought it was a very clever and entertaining show, with many deeply connecting plot lines, mostly well executed.

Agreed.

Agreed! Looking forward to Season 2.

I flat out will not watch anything with “found footage.” To me, that is a fool’s errand and life is too short.

reply

Although, it starts at about 50% found footage, it ends up being more like 25% found footage. So, all-in-all, maybe only 1/3rd, If that helps...

reply

Keep going. It's a slow-burn at times but builds up well.
