This is a parody. Right?

It must be. It has to be.

- the misprinted signs
- not lifting the truck, at least not really
- grandma
- the constant eating of corn, one of the most nutritionally benign foods there is.
- the diamond analogy
- the talent agent

All funny. All in the first 20 minutes. It's a parody.

You are a child that doesn't understand film. Please stop trying to figure it out. This is a genuine work in all aspects.

I think the film is a hoax, too, and did not think of all the reasons you mention.

My 'tells' included the 'forced conflict' between Stanley and sister Linda, the very loose and comfortable way Stan's brother and Linda flounce around in front of the camera acting like self-absorbed jerks, the scene inside the cab of Stan's truck where the brothers scream along to music while Barbara does her version of 'acting sad' while the truck cab is lit for the camera. The 80 year-old father walking around flexing with his shirt off. The fake breakup and reconciliation. The drunken failure and jealousy at the 'Strongman Convention.'

Like a lot of reality series and shows, this one smelled pretty fake, each conflict seemed staged (is it possible this was filmed for a reality tv series and was cut into a movie when it didn't sell?)
