SO, who else actually loved this?

Anyone at all? Don't tell me this is another one where I'm the only one who likes it.

reply

I wouldn't say I loved it, but I liked it. :) Rinko Kukuchi was a lot of fun in in it, the sword fights were well done, and it surprisingly lacked a lot of cringe worthy moments.

I saw it last night and loved it! It's a shame that just like The Lone Ranger, movies are just criticized and dismissed before they are even released. Im looking forward to seeing this one again.

reply

No. Lone Ranger and this one were criticized after they were released by almost everyone (critics usually only see a movie a few days before release). Both were universally panned because they simply aren't good. They rehash old ideas. When a movie cost 200 million to make, people expect something original or exciting-name ONE thing in this movie that is good-just one. I saw it last night and only remember that terrible dragon effect!!

I almost cried at the end, the film really touched me.

I didn't have any expectations, but the film was colorful, interesting, amusing, great action and heartbreaking.

I felt privileged to have watched it.

reply

Yeah, the ending was handled perfectly, I thought. Nearly made me cry as well.

reply

Doesn't take much to make you guys cry, huh?

No Number is best. 3 builds better than 2. 2 loves better than 1 and 1 mind is better than 3.

reply

Oh you are just so "tough" aren't you. I almost cried at alot of parts myself, im not ashamed to admit it. In my opinion its healthy to physically express emotions, and its nice to know that i still have the ability to feel them and do so.

So you go ahead and imply that its somehow weak (by not taking much) to cry, i hope its not because someone ever bullied you or because your parents brought you up a certain way or that youve seen some of the darker sh*t that life has to offer (because i wouldnt wish that sort of stuff on anyone), and that you're simply trying to ruffle some feathers.

Short version: i cried, so?

I thought this was a decent enough movie. I see some Issues that a tighter editing could and by all means should have solved but in the end this was quite entertaining.
I find the way some movies get criticised heavily before anyone actually has seen them (..and if you do that apparently you gotta stick to you oppinion and make sure noone somehow ends up enjoing that movie) to be a trend I wont be a part of.

I loved it also. It has beautiful scenery and and great fighting action to go with it. Its too bad that some people can't appreciate certain movies. I know some people rejected it just because it was a samurai movie.

reply

I just saw it and all this hate makes me mad. I loved it.

reply

I saw it today and I loved it. I guess everyone gets to have their own opinions about everything, but I really enjoyed all the things, (fight scenes, costume, score, magical bits, hotboys).

reply

I went in expecting a bad movie. I came out with a tremendous amount of praise for the film.

Now, a lot of people started giving it extremely low ratings before the film was even released. One of the many reasons why I don't like metacritic and rottentom... and people in general.

This film is in actuality, very very good. One of the better sword and fantasy films I've seen

Since 99% of people hated it or thought it was just meh, can you tell us a few other similar movies you liked? So we have some idea where on earth your tastes lie...
