What the Hell is wrong with you people?

There is no one here? Baccano is one of the greatest animes of all time. How DARE you not post at least seventeen thousand topics praising, lauding, and extolling this anime. In all seriousness, though, I'm dead serious.

I'm kind of surprised by the lack of forum activity myself. It's such an excellent series that I would have thought there'd be at least some discussion about it.

Hey guys, just pop over to /a/ for a few seconds, start a Baccano thread and then everyone will praise it.

It's just where more people post, I guess.

Obviously you are correct BanjoKazooie. The fact that no one has thus far commented on just how awesome this series is almost seems like it should be a crime punishable by death.

I mean, the program has a great story, has solid characters, an enjoyable soundtrack, its well dubbed, has the best comic relief in any program in existence with Isaac and Miria, and it even delivers in the food for thought department with the Vice President's speech at the end.

Well, I just discovered it and have seen the first 9 or 10 episodes.

I was a bit confused, at first, with all the characters and all but after watching the episode which showed how they became immortal.

Now, things are clicking into place.

Anyway, I find Isaac and Miria very funny.

I just saw the entire show. I must admit that it was hard to get into at first. There were just too many characters, too much going on, and too much random skips in time to keep track of things. The more I watched the more things clicked into place and it became a great show.

My only complaint was the comic relief. Those two characters really did annoy the hell out of me. I never once laughed at them and they ruined several scenes they were in.

I watched the whole show in the same day. I was hooked from the first 10 min. it was great.

Baccano literally means din in Italian, which in turn means pandemonium or ruckus, etc., so your impression on the first episoode is probably exactly what the creators intended for the audience. The funny thing about Baccano! is that you can literally start watching it in any episode. Episode one is no different from episode twelve and so on! I love going back and watching a random episode, in any order I please!

Tom: Nobody does - I'm the wind, baby!

I really enjoyed this series as well, although I did find the comic relief quite annoying since I like the serious tone of the series otherwise.

I also could have hoped for more episodes.

I liked it cause of the same story formula that's found in Pulp Fiction. Where the stories don't follow in a chronicle order.

Plus it one of the fewest anime I've seen that takes place mostly during the Great Depression of the USA. The huge cast of characters made the series of events fun to watch. My favorite moments would have to be when they slowly reveal who's immortal.

It deserves to be listed as one of the best mafia related anime ever made.

I'm eight episodes in (half-way) and loving it. Great series. Too violent for my tastes (at times) but I love how they balance seriousness and humour. I love the the jazz/swing music, the characters and everything that lends itself to the 1930's era.

This series is one of the best animes out there. Seriously ranks up there with Bebop, Trigun, Berserk, and others ;). Favorite character is Vino for sure!

Have a nice Day :)

In order for a board to be flooded with posts there has to be SOMETHING to complain about. They can't find fault other than some sub purists and so very little activity. This show is just that good. Wait did I say good I meant Great with a capital G.

I was suprsed at the lack on activity here also, lol.

But yeah, I love Baccano!

I felt the same about the Ghost Hound board.
It's a damn ghost town over there.
Four threads, all under 3 posts.
Two of which are from 2008.
It's very sad.

I think the reason not a lot of ppl have seen it, or understand it for that matter is 1) outside of the world of anime it really isn't one of the 'premeire' animes like DBZ or Bleach (you know the popular ones?). Also the story takes ALOT getting used to. A casual viewer probably won't sit there for 5+ eps to figure out what's going on.

I admit the first few eps I was put off by the story telling, and the constant jumping through time. I stuck through it though and watched the whole season and think it's ok, but my point is the majority of ppl won't do that.

Most ppl will just watch 5 mins and turn it off to watch something else, unless it's an anime fanatic of course.
