Natalie,
I hpoe you were fortunate enough to catch this film. It aired last week on either Sundance channel or IFC, I,m not sure which.
If not, watch for repeat showings. Good luck.
Good thoughts, good deeds, good actions.

I'm re-iterating the comment above that it is still available on Netflix streaming - if you have the wifi capable equipment its as if you have all premium channels and more at your fingertips without having to be at the mercy of programmers and calendars - the best $8.00 USD you can spend in any one month. So many excellent hard to find documentaries that you cannot begin to watch them all. This is a very human and profound film where meeting across such a great divide can be seen to develop. It is a shame & a blessing that the film isnt dogmatic but Farah Diva cannot begin to comprehend the harsh day to day reality of the ordinary Iranians lives any more than anyone else only familiar with wealth and privilege in Beverly HIlls, Greenwich or any other bastions of wealth. so Nahid comes to realize that pressing this woman would develop no real understanding. However being familiar with the outrageous wealth the royal hangers on arrived with in Los Angeles and still are a large segment of its richest members, from a country that didnt provide families like Nahids with opportunity. It makes seeing the well dressed women wearing expensive gold jewelry that were living in a fantasy about the majority of people want the return of such a dictatorial monarchy simply ridiculous. I dont believe the Farah would want such a return, but one cannot be sure that these people would not make Reza, the "heir apparent", a puppet to their demands of a return to such an aristoracy at the expense of the vast population.
