You can't judge someone by their friends. That's just not fair...


I remember watching this and seeing some chick say that a lot of white people looked at her sideways and gave her ish when she was with her black friends.

And you expect her to be like, "F them though! Those racist a-holes can go to hell! My friends shouldn't be judged by their skin color!"

But instead she's all, "You can't judge someone by their friends. That's not fair!"

Like her friends were the problem.

I know she's young but still...

I wonder why they left that in. Surely the director was smart enough to realize the girl didn't make herself look too good...

monroea3, something we have to remember when viewing this is the generations of hatred that most of these kids were raised by. To me, she was no different than the boy who hid behind the curtain, afraid of being disowned if his family knew he wasn't a racist. Just the fact that these kids are able to take any steps forward deserves kudos.
