1. How did the house have the energy to repaint itself if it hadn't eaten since 1951?

2. Did Tom buy the house from the bank after he killed everyone?

3. If so, how does he make enough money to pay the electricity bill and mortgage? There is no way he can cover that just by stealing from the victims he lures to the house.

4. Did the TV studio not get suspicious as to the whereabouts of the show's cast and crew?

5. After being on by the bank for so long, why was this house not just leveled and turned into a parking lot?

I would like to ask where they got the sphinx chair I saw when I watched a couple of minutes of it. The reason I'm asking is that I got the same exact Sphinx figure as a lamp base (white painted plaster, with large wings) from the Women's ORT shop on Santa Monica avenue near Centinela in the early 60's. I've never seen it before or since in any form other than on the chair in this movie and my lamp.
