Cinematography by Manikandan?

Why do reviewers wax about Ratnam matching the work of Manikandan and Sivan when the posters (as far as I remember) mention only Sivan as cinematographer?
See for instance the IMDb poster http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3519906560/tt1334470 or http://www.glamsham.com/download/poster/raavan-posters/1307/1.htm or http://www.bollywoodhungama.com/features/2010/04/22/6162/index.html.

But I've found one poster http://www.apunkachoice.com/titles/raa/raavan/mid_29845/posters/mopos_ 29845_3/poster.html where Manikandan seems to be mentioned as sole cinematographer, albeit the legend is very blurred.

Robert Koehler of Variety writes: "with Ratnam carefully matching the work of two cinematographers, Santosh Sivan and V. Manikandan."
Did the reviewer only use the IMDB data http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1334470/fullcredits#cast? Or has V. Manikandan really contributed substantially to the cinematography? Can someone explain the disagreeing poster legends?

I found an explanation myself, I think:
Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Raavan going to be re-shot

Excerpt:
The working style and shot composition of the director and the cameraman clashed and soon Manikandan realized the best way forward was to opt out of the project and go back to making ad films!

As per the grapevine, after Santosh Sivan joined the unit, Mani is planning to reshoot large chunks of the film. Santosh and Mani have terrific rapport and understanding, having worked in four films together out of which two has fetched the cameraman National Awards in cinematography.

Now I would like to know, which parts of the "Raavan" cinematography are Manikandam's? Does somebody know? Did somebody see differences concerning the visual style? Sivan's style is very unique IMO.
