It could have been really great

They had a nice plot which could have been put into better viewer experience.

Few things that killed the movie for me:
1) Songs - some movies don't have any scope for songs save background score, why don't people understand this.

2) Rain - seriously, whats with the rain? It just makes me uncomfortable...people dripping wet all the time and not covering themselves. Were they pneumonia-proof or what? :)

3) Louder dialogue and background "noise" - please, it creates tension in the real sense and not dramatic sense.

4) Aishwarya's shrieking - Abhishek is gr8 talent, and he is better off w/o this lady (in films).

5) Story - umm, lacks coherence and expects too much from the viewer...poor character development over all.

6) portrayal of lawlessness - Cops shooting indiscriminately, raping women in lockups - it might be part reality but I believe it certainly belonged to the days when Sadashiv Amarapurkar used to work in hindi movies.

Wait. India's HOT. People in tropical rainstorms don't worry about a chill. PLUS outside the monsoon season, isn't it really dry in most of India? I think people living in heat without any rainfall for months are likely to go INTO the rain, not creep into hiding.

Aishwarya's shrieking -

I suppose people take the same attitude in slasher films? "Why is that actress shrieking?" C'mon, she doesn't know how safe she is or isn't. Give Mani credit. If it was inappropriate for Ragini to shriek, he'd tell the actress to do something else. Are you assuming that Sita, when being abducted, was completely quiet and calm?
