A Masterpiece!
Heh heh heh, just kidding. :)
OK, seriously, when compared to the usual SciFi Channel drek, this one wasn't really bad. There were a few scenes where the dialogue didn't flow naturally or make much sense, and a few of the actors had occasional scenes that looked phoned-in (and don't get me started on the pseudo-science), but overall it was an enjoyable, if not memorable, flick to kill a couple hours with.
One thing that puzzled me, though, was the "you stole my book idea" setup that never paid off, nor was it explained. I'd actually been waiting to find out what the kid was talking about. Did he send the idea to someone and have it rejected, only to see it used by Price? Does he believe Price actually stole it in some fashion, or does he simply mean they had the same idea, but Price happened to publish it first? I'd assumed the topic would be returned to later on, when they had a moment to catch their breath, but nope, it just got dropped or forgotten. Kinda weird to set that up and then not use it.
