I swore up and down since childhood that Jon B was black. Hahaha I used to assume that he was just light skinned. It never dawned on me that he was actually white because it was never talked about, plus his swagger, his style, his look spelled BLACK lol

I chuckled when someone on the show said he was like a "light-skinned El DeBarge" and I'm like El DeBarge is a light-skinned El DeBarge.
I saw the "Someone to Love" and "Pretty Girl" videos when they first came out in '95, he was clearly white.

lol, yes ... I could tell right off too, even with the closely cut fades and goatees he wore during the "They Don't Know" period. Anyone remember him performing on Soul Train? I'm gonna have to find some old footage.
