Well, I thought this film was just fine, even though ...

... seeing it might rumple some people's feathers. Here is what one reviewer wrote about the film ... I have bolded what I think is the reviewer or commenter's important statement, perhaps?

Today I went with three friends to a special showing of all the films nominated for the 2009 Oscar for Best Live Action Short. Oddly, the four of us were in pretty much agreement about the films. Our pick for best of the nominees was PIG ("Grisen"), though ON THE LINE ("Auf der Strecke") was a very good film and is nearly as deserving of the award. We predicted that TOYLAND ("Spielzeugland"), however, will win the award because it's the sort of the film the Academy tends to like AND because PIG might ruffle some feathers because it is not "politically correct" ...

I also live in a city that shared with its Denizens, the 2009 Oscar-Nom'd, Live-Action and Animated Short Films.

What a treat I had seeing the Live Action Short Films, nom'd for this year's Oscars! Wow, not a dud in the bunch, to my mind ...

Man, and I almost didn't even go . So glad I decided to capitulate, & "waste" about 100 minutes.

SPOILERS AHEAD ... SPOILERS AHEAD ... SPOILERS AHEAD AND, I AM NOT KIDDING!!!!

At the very end of the film, the Protagonist, if you will, makes friends with his Muslim roomate, and then starts to describe what the poor fellow (whose surgery was NOT successful, unlike our Pig-loving Hero's was) can NOT see ... per his Muslim room mate's request.

I cried at the very end of this film. I thought this film ended up being most PC, to be honest with you. The two men, who were at opposing ends of thinking about a mere painting, came to a true understanding!

I thought this film preached tolerance!

It began with some pretty groovy hip-hop, radio rant about why can't Denmark be less inclusive & then ended with ... a recalcitrant old fellow's willingness to look beyond the borders of race and ethnicity.
