An interview with one of the writers

Apologies if this has been posted before.

I had quite a few problems with this show even though I enjoyed it overall. The biggest issue I had was how Janet was suddenly elevated to the "strongest person" any of these people had ever met when she showed absolutely nothing out of the ordinary until they mentioned it. She was also suddenly turned into this charismatic person (also without any visible difference from before) that could seduce and capture the romantic interest of anyone she sets her sights on. Liam is first shown as a cruel and sadistic manager and he's turned into a fawning fanboy within minutes of meeting her, longing to caress her hair. I like Daisy Betts but I didn't get any sense of "special" about her character at all. She showed more strength and heroism in Last Resort.

I also don't enjoy shadow organizations that seem to have godlike powers. At least with Nikita, the main character has a good chance of winning the day even though the huge organization she's fighting has eyes and arms everywhere. The idea of everyone being helpless pawns frustrates and annoys me. Two guys are in the middle of a cactus family in the middle of the desert and the show implies that there's a camera watching them. That's just stupid.
