Since Tori was a hotel manager, was she a part of the program like Joe from the start?

And how did Janet's ex figure out where the key is so quickly, does he know something as well?

Do people really die in this program? Ulrich got shot by Joe, but survived. Also the people in the other town who were in bags and had their thumbs cut off were not dead as well. seems like even though they are aiming for people to kill each other nobody gets killed.

and why did Ulrich become part of the program team after being killed?

i know there are no real answers out there but i am wondering if anyone has ideas

This is what I got out of the show, to the best of my understanding anyway.

Since Tori's father was part of the program, I'm thinking she was recruited by them instead of killing her off at the end.

Janet's ex and getting the key was probably just a ploy to get Joe and him alone for a minute.

Now as for my understanding of Ulrich, he had said he burnt down his original town, killing everyone in it, and that was how he started out in The Program.
When Joe shot him, Joe had revived a fortune cookie giving him those instructions. At the beginning of the series Janet received a similar fortune cookie telling her to kill Joe. Since Joe was part of The Program when he was supposed to be shot, it's logical to think that Ulrich was as well when he was shot.

It sounds to me like The Program is about survival of the fittest and picking out which people are most likely to be useful in the future. Oh! and as for the people in the body bags, they had killed each other off one by one just like they were supposed to. There was only one person who remained alive and he was entering The Program.

What I don't understand is why they had to cancel it. The finale left us with more questions then answers. I want to know what happens next! One of my biggest pet peeves is cliff hangers....someone should have warned me before I started watching this on Netflix haha.

If you have any other questions I'll be glad to try and help. :)

I just finished watching this on Netflix.

I had alot of "huh?"'s towards the end.

How did Bill know Charlie's wife's name? Was he a part of the program?

How the heck did Erika/Teresa make it to the middle east and why were they there?

Is Grahm in the program now since he was in 'treated'?

Where's Kat?

Doesn't Mark know too much to be in the program? (Well, not really)

Wish everything was resolved.

reply

Bill knew Charlie's wifes name, because he saw Charlie kill his wife on the TV screen when he was in the town, and he read Charlie's file. No Bill was not part of the program, but towards the end of the series, it started looking like he wanted to be a part of it.

Erika and Teresa were in the middle east because, I assume, that is where the town was stationed. The town that Kat and Mark found was in a remote country as well.

I honestly have no clue if Graham is in the program now, but I would assume so because he was in that creepy chair/bed thing.

As for what happened to Kat, she was taken by the men in the blue jumpsuits and stuck in a pen/cage thing next to Abasador Fairchild, (I assume he was thrown in there for helping Kat and Mark escape which was against the Programs wishes. This part also doesn't make sense to me because if they intended to end the series there, why did they leave the question of what happens to her open? But whatever.) I'm guessing the reason she ends up here and not in the hotel with Mark, is because they only take people that they believe can or will be useful to them in the future and apparently there was something about her they didn't like.

And yes he's knows to much, but the Program probably doesn't care. As I mentioned before the Program only takes people that can be useful to them. Mark has the potential to be useful, but if he loses (when everyone is supposed to kill each other and only one person gets out alive) he will be dead anyway so it's not a big deal.

I hope that helps answer your questions :) let me know if you have any more, I have way to much time on my hands :)

The part about how everyone escaped made no sense. The town was in the Bay Area. That's what they said at he hospital. After the car crashed everyone took off to their respective locations. Made a per verbal run for it. But again this still makes no sense.

How they all got sepeerated yet graham was captured. They wouldn't of just left him behind. Idk all in all this section of the story was not plausible at all

And I feel like I still don't understand ANYTHING about her relationship with her mother. That was such a big plot point and then she acts like she has multiple personalities. And I swear when she was on that phone call with her mom, there is a man in her closet on the left side. So freaky, but they never explained it.

After the van:
They never escaped, but were instead picked up and put in various places around the world by the Program, not sure why. As Ulrich said, it was an illusion of free will. Remember, there were cameras still watching the groups: Erika and Moira, Bill and Charlie (out in the desert of all places!), Joe was placed back in the town to monitor the next group, and Graham was taken to the White Room to be turned.

Tori as the new hotel manager showed that they (the Program) could take anyone and turn them. With Graham being “back in the group”, I can only assume that Graham was now the group’s Joe, their controller.

As for why Ulrich became part of the Program after being killed:
He mentioned his Level 1 involved him burning down the town and killing everyone. That is when he became part of the Program. Joe killed him was Joe “joining” the Program, that was part of his (Joe’s) programming/initiation.

Renbe (Janet’s ex) finding the key:
He was a smart guy, an investigative reporter. I’m pretty sure he was just smart enough to find it. My question is why Kat was not placed in a town. Instead she was placed in some kind of camp with cages, with (supposedly) other people from the Program. With that fact, and the fact that their rental car had a camera hidden in the dash, and other little clues here and there, I am pretty sure that Kat was part of the Program all along.

From what Joe said about killed Ulrich (shooting him three times), and Ulrich’s own admission to killing his group, I think that people don’t really die from their experience in the town. Although, judging by the way the original night manager got messed up, accidents happen. Also, if their own people cross them, the Program won’t hesitate to remove them, like Ulrich’s head.

I’m not sure exactly why the show was cancelled. After looking at some of the details, the show never found a stable audience. It was moved twice, and changed timeslots once or twice. Sometimes channels (namely Fox and NBC) move shows around when the ratings aren’t doing well. Instead of helping the show, they confuse the audience they did have, and place the show on at a random time or day. In this case, the ratings were low enough to finish a season, but not enough to return. Apparently a show’s ratings need to be extremely low to get yanked before the season is up.

When you’re in a bad mood, just think about a monkey.

I never thought about that possibility with Kat being in The Program one way or another. Those Program must be super smart if she was in it and placed working alongside Renbe (aka Janet's ex). Makes me wonder that if this is true, then were Renbe and Janet 'magically' put together (married and having a child) just so they both would be put in The Program?

Because if Kat was in The Program, then what was her task? Keep Renbe away or interested in where Janet vanished off to?

So many questions. lol.

I thought Kat was in the program for most of the episodes. She just seemed so suspicious. I became unsure when she was fired from the company she worked at, but she still seemed suspicious after that. When her and Renbe were in that rental camera and being watched, it felt like she knew they were being watched.
