In the episode were Janet talks to her mom theres a dead guy in a black suit in here wardrobe closet why did the writers do that then make her look good in the end.

I saw that too. That didn't make any sense. even if it was a poster and just bad set interior decorating. Unless it was a "red herring" to make you think the Mom was super bad.
