I spent the entire series thinking, "Eh, she's okay." And then...final episode. There she is in a white tank top, short white shorts, barefoot, hair in a ponytail...yowza! Super hot!

I thought she was pretty, sure, but by no means so irresistible that it made sense why three characters in a row could became deeply infatuated/in love with her within a couple days of meeting her-including a guy who changed personalities overnight and then kills himself... because he couldn't save her or something? (Maybe he figured out she was playing him but honestly, I tuned out a little.) Joe was the only one she had any chemistry with, though she didn't even know much about him, and they barely kissed once. Most scenes she's moaning about her daughter (understandable, but that's not sexy or revelatory about other aspects of her life) and being a Mary Sue who can punch people and they still adore her.
Also hated that Erika always called her Bright Eyes, when in fact Erika was the one with the distinctive light-colored eyes and Janet had dark brown ones. She could have called her "Dark Eyes," which actually sounds sexier, or Hot Mama, ha. Maybe the Janet in the initial script was described differently, and then they cast whoever had the best audition but they forgot to amend the writing to fit. Similarly, Janet plus the ex-husband would probably never result in a daughter who looked like that child actress. Weird casting.

God K street you nailed it. that was one of the biggest mistakes the network made...hiring whoever that godawful casting director was. Such a plain actress. And not to throw the race card in but why did the only black female cast have to be a jailbird who doesn't take care of her kid?? Seriously?? The only Asians on the show run a Chinese restaurant?? The whole show was a bit racist.
