That is a good post.

We are self centered beings. We like to think only for ourself. And with aging man realize that everyone is thinking only for themselves, so he does the same.

Not in every case. I see a lot of people who are selfless and do the best they can for society. But they are a minority, and, sadly, most of them are from an older generation. And I can see why this is: a lot of the time I try to follow in their footsteps and be helpful, but believe me, it is very hard when you are young (I am 28), not established professionally and financially, and having to make ends meet. (There we go, I am talking about myself here again, lol)

It consumes a lot of time and (mind and body) energy and perhaps this is one of the reasons many people just give up.

Young people are traditionally the moving power of a revolution, and it looks like the machine has found out a good way of maintaining its status: keep them perpetually busy and feed them with a steady flow of misinformation.

It is good that movies like this are receiving attention, but that is not enough until people start applying the messages they get from them into their everyday life.

-Goodnight, mother of six!
-Goodnight, father of two!

I doubt that people will realize this soon.

-they wont, theyre too busy fighting and arguing with eachother over the f(_)ckin facts explained in these films.everyones too damn afriad of either being wrong or losing teir lifestyles.im hoping that its only a miority of the human race that are in "power" but then again, even a small army should never be underestimated.remember that people lack dignity and honor which means they can be bought.

"the government" has confused you with years and years of manipulation, but 2 hours or so of documentary have opened your eyes.
Is it so powerful that in broke years of manipulation? Is the film THE TRUTH?

YES, debt will always exist as will war, suffering, and people believing in invisible gods in the sky. However there is nothing sinister about the U.S central bank. Interest is an age old concept that allows people to MAKE MONEY.

The central bank insures the money you put into local banks, if they folded, without a central banks Federal Insurance, your money would disappear. The central bank as we know it today was created after a great financial panic where people lost everything because when their bank folded the money was irretrievable.

It's not some secret government conspiracy that keeps capitalism perpetuating, ITS A FREE MARKET, which means the government has little to no control over who buys what and who sells what. Yes, the Federal Reserve exists as a "banker's bank," but its not an elite society. Local banks can borrow money from them, usually as a last resort. The Federal Reserve changes the interest rate and reserve rate to tame the beast that is capitalism. They lower the interest rate to increase demand on loans, which allow people to start their own business, buy a jet ski or whatever. They increase the interest rate to discourage borrowing and stabilize the capitalist economy. Capitalism may be a sometimes brutal system but a find me a better one (real world example please).

This is Micro Econ 101 stuff. Interest is not a tool for mass control. Debt will always exist, because people WILL ALWAYS BORROW MONEY. And if we had no central bank it would be like FREAKING SOUTH AMERICA where a bank could be booming one week and close the next and nevermind the million dollars you had in it. I think the creators of Zeitgeist need to take an Economics class.

reply

LOL
Exactly.
Im just impressed on how many times I have to convince my friends that Zeitgeist is no eye opener, but actually the brainwashing of some confused guy.

Another point: banks and interest is what allow people to make money withouth having it first. Meaning, with no money, but loans, you can open a new business. Can that be done without loans? don't think so.
So, IMHO, god bless the banks.

you'll actually find if you did research that the banks went bust when the state so much printed money thus causing a banana republic.

quit being a shill for centralized banks and their treacherous forms of taxation caused by inflation.

seems to me you're the biggest retard in the class.

Truth passes through 3 stages. 1st-ridicule, 2nd-violently opposed, and 3rd, it's accepted as fact.

How does that make him a shill?

or a jackass he choose which one describes him best.

It's entirely possible to be literally wrong and still think for one's self.

of course however silly ill conceived freedom of speech which i defend wholeheartedly and unreservedly needs to be kept in check with an equally brutal assault.

Or do you prefer that he just take your word on it without reservation?

not at all, however retardo boy needs to learn some basic facts before he continues to spew out garbage as fact. I've recommended a video and a book to get him started.

If you are talking about the depression the fact is the gold standard and restriction of coinage made the depression worse not better.

i think you and a lot of other critics of this part of the movie are missing the point.

i don't believe the P. Joseph is trying to expose a cover-up or present our banking system as a conspiracy. i think he is just damning the whole system and banking principles in general. i think the film is intended to condemn capitalism. and there is nothing wrong or brainwashing about that.

well if its a FREE MARKET why all these BAILOUTS????????????
a free market is self regulated and disposes the RUBBISH out of the system in this case the WLOLE BANKING SYSTEM alongside with the GOLDEN-HUNGRY BOYS.

Maybe you need to take some lesons to distinquish CAPITALISM - COMMUNISM and FREE MARKET.

if not mistaken you are suggesting to be CAPITALIST IN PROFITS AND COMMUNISTS IN LOSSES.

CHARGES SHOULD BE PRESSED ON ALL TOXIC INSTITUTIONS and CEOs for crimes against the AMERICAN TAXPAYERS instead of having them restricted in 6mill $ mansions (MADOF CASE).
