I have scoured the Oxford english dictionary (concise) to find a word to describe how arse this TV show is...but I am having little luck.

Horrific comes fairly close...

//The only sketch I liked is the one that always seems to leave the audience cold, and that's the reunited public school boys.//

ok, we dl'd this and watched the first ep and i agree, the above sketch was the only one even remotely humourous. the rest was painful. unfortunately, we did burn the others - a waste of a couple of dvd blanks. loved gav & stac, and enjoyed lesbian vampire killers as well, but this was just awful. i was embarrassed for them.

God I'd rather be locked up in a dark place than watch this utter pile of vagina trush...

British comedy is more or less dead, which is sad because this country has produced some of the finest comedians and comedy shows of all time, The Two Ronnies, Bottom, The Young Ones, the list goes on. Back in those days a show like this probably would never have been commissioned because of it's very poor range. Maybe H&C should bone up a bit on their comedic skills and come back at a later date or better still, throw in the towel and don't bother coming back!

God you're wrong.

reply

Sorry, but British comedy is FAR from dead - there are loads of stand-up comedians and they have the status of rock stars from thirty years previous.

Maybe you meant that British sit-com production is a fraction of what it was?

At any rate, I'd say that H&C is terrible because of them and not because of a trend in comedy etc.
