From the small amount I've read about this series I'm quite keen to eventually see it - any example of erotica that includes thought-out plotting, good acting, involves other genres (such as SF), is a welcome one. Hopefully one of the cable channels in Australia (where I am) will put this on like they have for other Cinemax series and I won't have to wait to buy the DVD from America sight unseen.

I'm a MAJOR sci-fi fan, and I'm ALSO a major fan of HOT, NUDE chicks, and although I agree this show could do a better job of showing more of the latter, the Sci-Fi aspects of it and some of the special effects are pretty good. I RARELY buy a show on DVD -- EXTREMELY RARE, so far, on Blu-Ray, but when this first season comes out on Blu-Ray, if it's not too steep, I may well take the plunge.
There ARE a few problems with some characters and story lines that come and go so quickly it's a bit hard to keep up (really seems like they're trying to squeeze too much story development in too quickly), BUT the video, visuals, what special effects there are, lighting and camera work are all superb, and ALL the women are gorgeous!
One thing I particularly like about the women is that they ALL also appear to have natural breasts, and all are on the smallish side, which also means no flappy, sagging. The two most attractive ones are a probably A-cup and a B-cup, and they're drop-dead gorgeous -- ESPECIALLY the A-cup, Dr. Penny Serling, played by 24-year-old Toronto native model and actress Noelle Dubois. She's a pretty good actress, and DROP DEAD gorgeous, to repeat myself... When she's in a scene, clothed or not, she simply STEALS it! And while her breasts are small, they're very perky, with PERFECT nipples! :)
I say, GO FOR IT!
