Too much talking

Seriously, why do so many low-budget indies seem to suffer from the same affliction?

There is so much "emoting via dialogue" in this movie that it's laughable. I think if the acting was stronger overall, I *might* have been able to overlook its weaknesses.

And, what does it say about a male gay-themed film where the only pluses are the two female characters?

Here are the minuses: very poor acting, crapy dialogue, ridiculously slow pacing, lack of affection between lead characters (It's the old "I've-loved-you-my-entire-life-so-let's-just-hug" *beep* and the cornball, over-rought score.

Arizona Sky almost reaches the realm of "so-bad-it's-good"---Almost. And, in the end that's what kills it for me, it doesn't try hard enough.

Skip it. Or don't--and spend 1:30 rolling your eyes and/or laughing at unintentionally funny moments.

very low budget. we noticed the same down comforter thrown in the back of the truck 20 years earlier was used in the back of the truck in the present day---damn my frienbds noticed that and not me, and I usually pick up on stuff like that
I think it was too slow of a pace and certainly too talky. I give it kudos for not being a campy sex romp but soem of those sililoquies/monologues needed to be trimmed for more dynamic and realistic dialogues.
sadly, my friends were inventing some inappropraite dialogue and that's probably what I'll remember.
could have been better

Don't see it! I watched it at 120 % speed just because I quit watching only the worst movies. But I was thinking of quitting! It was one of those too slow, poor dialogue, cheap music movies => completely unconvincing, but what bothered me most was the miscast for Kyle - I'm not supporting stereotypes, but he just didn't convince me to be gay. And he had really irritating eyes. :>

Admittedly it could have been way better, but I watched it right through because I think we all have a past love that we wish might've had a better outcome. For that reason I felt kind of nostalgic through a lot of the movie.

However, one thing that spoilt it for me was the Kyle character - the acting was bad enough but that whiny, self-pitying dialogue was just so irritating. I think I would have been back on the plane to LA never looking back had I been Jake.

It's interesting that two characters were called Jake and Heath. I wonder if this was some kind of compliment, or whatever, to Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal.

I wasn't bothered so much by the amount of dialogue, rather the manner in which Eric Dean delivered his lines. Clearly he did not memorize them well enough, since his performance suffers from too many inappropriate pauses and too much staccato pacing.
