I stopped watching this after Emily...

... because it makes no sense without Emily!

This show is so mean and non-inspiring! Emily's dream was in fact a nightmare, the writers had abused and humiliated her character from the beginning ... letting her rise ... just a little to entertain the concept of hope, only to viciously cut her down, dealing her impossible hands and choices, denying her pride, self-esteem or self-confidence ... all the makings of a true champion ... in any sport! So she gave up ... when she saw ... that the nightmare will never end. Finally ... they erased her, branded her to failure and blamed every crappy hand they dealt her ... on her! That's beyond mean! Is this supposed to encourage gymnastics, or following your dream?

Kaylie, Payson, Lauren, Parker ... privileged kids with families that don't let them fall no matter how bad they screw up or how many rules they break ... in loved with gymnastics only as a crush, in it for fame, photoshoots or a nice coach ... they are normal teens with a hobby, don't need scholarships, to work, to financially support their families and to do top level gymnastics at the same time ... being viciously hunted by the gymnastic federation (which you basically empower), mainly because you took the spot of a potential privileged kid. Emily started on probation form the first episode, not like an outsider, but like a paria. And sorry for saying this ... but what Lauren did right in the first episode ... is not plotting, framing ... it's action that equals jail / juvie time ... Emily was premeditated placed in a life-threatening situation. If Lauren would had been hold responsible right then for her attempted murder ... by the so-called 'grown-ups' ... 90% of Emily's nightmare would had never happen and she would had became the champion she deserved ... if we fallow the rest of the story.

Sorry but these are not true champions (even if the House dealt them champion hands) ... when half of that medal ... was bought for you ... the only one with true champion potential and life story was Emily ... and with true love for gymnastic and what it really means ... because gymnastics ... doesn't mean ... cheating, scheming, plotting, federation wars, retribution, hunting gymnasts ... you get the point ... this show presents an perverted version of gymnastics strongly mixed with cheap teen drama ... in which only Emily embraces the true spirit of gymnastics ... and she is dealt a losing hand from the beginning.

Conclusion ... Sad and bitter show, i recommend avoiding it!

The writers didn't decide to write Emily off the show; the reason Emily wasn't in the show for season three is because Chelsea Hobbs, the actress playing her, was pregnant.

Emily wasn't the only main character in the show, the other girls were equal leads and they also had a story to tell as well. Plus I'm not a big fan of these Cinderella type stories which is why I didn't care for Emily's story.

Which is why you and Lauren would get along great.

Well it's true, I mean the whole boo hoo I'm poor so give me a happy ending for just that is really stupid, ironically with Cinderella herself you can say she deserved it since she was nice, and worked hard without complaining, but in a lot of these similar stories they don't deserve it simply cause they are poor, not to mention that Emily didn't really deserve a Cinderella story anyway cause she never took responsibility for her actions

I wasn't a fan of Emily because she gave excuse after excuse. "My my is a stripped that's why I can't do it" type thing. I understand her life wasn't easy but come on.....suck it up! I love Payson though

Well... me too. Feel bad when I watch this show without Emily
