Season 3 made no sense to me

I'll admit upfront I know nothing of how it works in the real world but the whole premise in this reality was the girls competing to get into the National Team, then from there onto the Worlds team and if they medaled at worlds a spot on the Olympics team. Well, they did ALL of those things by the Season 2 finale, heck they even won the team gold at worlds so why were Peyson, Kaylie, Lauren and Kelly auditioning for a spot on the Olympics team with a bunch of other "never saws" in Season 3?

Well they don't just chose one team for the Olympic team, so it's normal to have people from other gyms competing for a spot in the Olympics.

Yes...but they already did that making all the girls from all the gyms across the country compete at Nationals and then cutting down the girls from the Nationals Team down to the 6 best for the Worlds team so it just seemed like all the "auditioning" was done by the end of Season 2.

But that's how it works in the Olympics, they invite girls to the Olympic center and cut them down. The auditioning is not done at Nationals but during the Olympic trails. Plus not everyone competes in Nationals for whatever reason so they will invite some people who didn't compete during Nationals. I think they were just trying to be realistic about it plus I think when the shot the end of season 2 they didn't know if they were returning or not
