The Miser Brothers Deserved Better

Seriously, anyone who has seen the original Christmas special from 1974 will tell you that Snow and Heat Miser are wonderful characters. They're funny, and have great chemistry together. I was so excited when I saw the ads for this sequel, because I have always wanted to see more of the brothers.

Well, I was disappointed. The story was pretty good, but the script was absoutely terrible. And the songs were... yecch. Not a single redeeming tune in the thing. The songs in this special reminded me of the really, really bad songs from the Land Before Time sequels. They sounded like they were tossed together in a couple of hours.

In addition, there are several moments in the "finished" special where there is a fraction of a second missing. It sounds like a skip, or a glitch. What it actually is, though, is missing frames of animation. This thing was thrown together so fast, they didn't even have time to go back and fix little errors like that.

I would be open to another Miser Brothers sequel, but only if they get some decent writers, lyricists, and composers. Our dear Brothers deserve better.
