Elaine Miles of 'Northern Exposure'!

It surprised me, too! I guess it's greater glory to have a wyvern-inflicted death than to be merely a minor character. She got to be a deputy! I'll bet she went into the office and sat there till they deputized her~the way Marilyn became a receptionist. *snicker*snort*

I did the same thing! I was answering something on Y!A Movies when I heard a very familiar voice. Mom and I both said at the same time, "It's Marilyn!" *giggle* Too bad they couldn't have gotten more cast members from "Northern Exposure" to be in the film. I'd LOVE to see Darren Burrows co-star with Billy Drago (his father)!

All-in-all, I thought it was an entertaining movie, with some catchy lines and with a heroic role for Nick Chinlund for a change. After all the criminals and weird fellows he's played, I thought he did a great job in this movie! Maybe he'll start cropping up as an action hero.

Now, if we'd only have Elaine back in a series or more movies... She always makes me smile. Where was she for "Men in Trees"?!

Elaine has such a distinctive voice and manner of speaking, and she simply is adorable! Even my non-movie-fan mother immediately recognized her. I figured that she isn't listed because they didn't get full credits for the film yet, as that is it's premiere. But, I would have thought that she'd be as instantly recognizable as Nick Chinlun, Barry Corbin or Don S. Davis. I'm a third-generation film buff, so I tend to assume that people know actors and actresses on sight.

Maybe they'll add her credit yet. Now, I need to go see if she has an IMDb site and that "Wyvern" is mentioned there, at least on the forum.
