The DVD is out!

I received mine from Amazon.com yesterday, and watched it last night. Excellent quality, and I was surprised it was in widescreen; ratio is about 1.77:1, though Amazon.com says 1.66:1. They didn't show the ratio when I ordered it. Does anyone know what the usual wide-screen TV ratio is?

The picture quality of the DVD was excellent. Nice sharp picture, not too dark or too washed out, and minimal black borders. Nice packaging too.

I hadn't seen the entire movie before; last time it was on SyFy (sigh; why did they change their name?) I only caught the last half hour or so, but I decided it looked good enough to splurge for the DVD and I am glad I did!

The acting was quite adequate; in fact excellent for a SyFy TV movie, and the special effect were well done. I quite warmed to Jake, the hero truckdriver, as portrayed by Nick Chinlund. Chinlund is mostly a character actor, usually playing some really scary bad guys, but he was QUITE convincing as the male lead. I hope he gets a chance at more leading roles. The rest of the cast was excellent too.

16x9 is 1.78:1. It was framed for 1.78, so that's great news that the DVD made it out that way.

Agree. For a SyFy TV Movie this was very high quality. I guess some good
talent came together here. The native looking chick is a real beauty btw.

Yes it was. I'd never ever watch this utter rubbish again even if i am offered substantial amounts of money.

The story was garb, the acting lousy, the twists unbelievable, the makeup a horror, etc., etc. The only surprising thing was erin karpluk, whom i never heard of and are surprised why she never got a chance to real acting.

Avoid!

I agree that the cast was excellent, and the quality of the special effects were top notch for the SyFy channelSource:Movie Reviews - Wyvernhttp://moviereviews.noskram.com/2009/12/movie-reviews-for-wyvern
