Excellent cinematography and character development

I had the pleasure of staying home today and watching this wonderful movie on Sci Fi. I just love how the scenery is so vibrant, always changing and always keeping you guessing as to what kind of background the next scene would contain.

The character development of the wyvern was simply amazing. Each time it slayed its next victim I just loved how we as the audience were able to dive deeper into its inner feelings and truly understand its ultimate goal. It was interesting how we were able to understand the wyvern's pain, but at the same time, intrigued by its tenacity and determination to hunt more victims. I WILL be adding the DVD of Wyvern to my collection, and I recommend that all of you do the same.

I sense sarcasm, but I have to note that the cinematography IS good! I'm really tired of murky, grayish-greenish movies in which everything looks overcast all of the time. This has been in a wide variety of films, including "Gladiator", "Pulse", the Harry Potter movies and many others, particularly when they use CGI. At least I can see everything in this one!

Character development~of the wyvern... Sure, I can see that: the mother striving to feed her egglings, having them destroyed by uncaring villagers, just as the Frankenstein Monster is unrelentingly attacked when... Let's see... What IS he doing? Maybe that analogy isn't working. *giggle*

Anyhoo (as sometimes is said on the Net), I enjoyed this film enough to be watching the second airing right now, trying to correct the quotations I jotted down in my film journal.

At least Nick Chinlund got to play a hero for a change!

I enjoyed it. It was well written, directed and performed.
Cast and crew made a very good B creature feature.
Far superior to many of the made for sci-fi fare.

I agree with both of you! No sarcasm here. I loved it, and like I said I WILL be adding the DVD of Wyvern to my collection.

I think it was a good movie by normal Sci-Fi standards.

And Tinsel Korey looked GODDAMN good in those jeans.

It's a great movie, but I was much more interested in the close knit community of the small town as the Wyvern terrorised itSource:Movie Reviews - Wyvernhttp://moviereviews.noskram.com/2009/12/movie-reviews-for-wyvern

Boy so many things in this movie was sooooooooooo wrong. At least they could of made it believable that it was actually Alaska. Geeesh! I live in Alaska and we had a few good laughs about what was wrong with this movie geographically speaking. Love seeing Don S. Davis and was touched that the movie had the memorium at the end. Now that brought a tear to this "Stargater's" eye. We still miss you General Hammond.
