Are we supposed to believe you can hang a man in the air from a noose for maybe a couple of minutes and he never loses consciousness and after cutting him down he jumps right up and is ready for action?
I wouldn't recommend anyone trying this at home to see what happens.
I can't remember...was he able to use a hand to relieve the pressure from around his neck? I'm thinking he might have only been hanging for a minute before his son cut him down. For editing purposes, it might have seemed longer than that. I do remember the father falling to the ground and not being able to stand up right away. Again, with editing it might have seemed like he got up right away. If we had one long, three-minute shot of the father catching his breath, then that would have been one LONG, drawn-out, boring scene for the audience to have to wait through.
