What is Alina again? I missed the part when she was telling Marian what she is-- also what her mother was--- I remember Selkie/mermaid but not the other half. Why was Alina cursed? I wonder what happened to Alina's mother when she came back from Dark Wood Forest.
shareI think she's part human because her mother was a moron who went into the human world and got knocked up. That's why she was cursed, because she was curious and ruined the perfect utopia they came from. When her mother came back, they had her take some odd plant that took away her immortality and then killed her and shunned Alina.
