Erica Durance as Maid Marion

I love Robin Hood and even though I tend to not be a fan of most sci-fi movies (except the horror type) I'm be watching and recording this one since it stars Erica Durance whom I adore!!! :)

Funny how she dressed up as Maid Marion in an episode of Smallville (Third episode of Season six...the name escapes me). And now she's playing Maid Marion.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Justin Heartly made a guest appearence in the show in some capacity? You've already got Louis... I'm just saying!

It aired last night in the UK on the Sci-Fi Channel. Now don't get me wrong it's not a great film but i found it to be pretty entertaining.

The special effects are also pretty good for a scifi channel movie. It's a very unusual take on the Robin Hood legend that's for sure. They've been watching the BBC TV series though before they made this.

I'm watching it "live" right now. Erica Durance used to NOT be my fave babe on "Smallville," but she's grown on me -- especially after I did an image search for her on Google and found out just how good she REALLY looks, lol.

That said, I think the acting is pretty decent in this movie, even if the CGI isn't, and it's an interesting twist on the story. BUT the interesting, beautiful new actress, to me, is the one playing Alina, and she's not even listed in the movie's credits. The actress who played "little Alina" is, but the one for the adult Alina isn't. She looks pretty good to me, and also somewhat familiar, although I can't place her.

Not sure why she's not in the credits... might not have wanted to be is the only reason I can think of. As for Julian Sands, I think he's pretty much typecast as the bad guy at this point, but that's because he's just SO DARNED GOOD at it -- ever since he starred in "Warlock" back in the 80s.

And the actor who plays Little John looks familiar but isn't listed either.

I'm watching this right now and I have to say that I love the legend of Robin Hood. I watch anything I can that has to do with it, and the thing about this movie is that the accent Erica has sucks. It doesn't sound good at all, and I also noticed that she acts with everything but her eyes. I liked her in Smallville, but she is doing horrible in this...at least to me, and I don't mean to bash. It is just bugging me so bad.

It was silly hearing her with an accent but other then that it was a mildly entertaining film. Considering there was nothing better on tv at the time I don't feel that my two hours were a total weaste!

I think she was wasted. This TV movie was truly awful. Poor FX, lame script, wooden acting. Erica was the only shining light in this weak effort. Yes her accent wasn't the best, but at least she tried and her acting was better than the majority of the cast and having seen Julian Sands turn in the most wooden performance of all time in Smallville I didn't hold much hope there either. I basically watched this for Erica, who as always was stunning. Deserves a shot at a decent project imo.

Well, it was an interesting take on it. They were killing and butchering. I don't remember the story being so bloody. And did the Sheriff actually rape Maid Marian?

Just ran on SyFy again (latenight/early a.m. -- 11/3 -- 11/4), helping to fill in "the longest night of the year" for those of us who have DST in the summer.

I enjoyed it pretty much, although I agree Julian Sands was "a bit wooden." Considering that IMDB shows him with a total of 105 acting credits to his name, however, someone must like him -- A LOT. He starred in 1989's "Warlock," and made one of the most convincing, nastiest warlocks I've ever seen (sort of set the standard for EVIL warlocks, I thought).

As for Erica, yeah, I'd probably watch her read the phone book. I once did a search for pics of her, just to see if there were any nude ones; turned out she'd done a brief topless scene in one of the more stupid horror movies. I have to say I rented that movie just to see her in that scene, and although the movie sucked, it was worth it just to see Erica like that. Lots of stars look better with the form-fitting clothes on, but she's a natural.

I don't recall the name of the movie. It was one where there's a cabin in the woods that evil people come out of, or something like that. If you're a big Erica fan, just look at her movie portfolio... should be able to figure it out.

Erica's a pretty good actress, too, I think. I know I really DIDN'T like "Lois" on "Smallville..." and then I did. Was all in how Erica played the character; first quite annoying, then sympathetic and sexy... Then again, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang was a pretty hard act to follow.
