I'm confused about scene, when Cheryl is locked up in a room with a piece of meat on a plate. After a week or so, meat was severly rotten, she finally ate it. Shouldn't she have died of food poisioning? Thanx.
shareI thought food poisoning was caused by food that isn't cooked properly and is full of bacteria. I imagine that rotten meat would have made her very ill anyway. It was pretty gross.

shareFood poisoning doesn't mean death. I know, I had it. My system is pretty amazing, since I didn't need to have my stomach pumped like other people do. It is horrible, though, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

In reality, she would have gotten sick from it and thrown up a lot. She would have probably thrown up so much + diarrhea that she would have eventually died of dehydration. I'm not even sure her body would have been able to eat the meat, usually your body reacts strongly against fool smells and taste. She would have probably choked on vomit before even swallowing that thing. I'm not sure that scene is realistic. In real life I'm pretty sure someone would let themselves die of starvation rather than eat that. But it's a movie
