How is it possible.....

that they managed to get interviews with all these actors and filmmakers (Judd Nelson, Mia Sara, Kevin Smith, etc) but weren't able to snag an interview with Hughes himself? They must have had some connections with Hollywood to be able to get interviews with all these other people.

I think they could have tried a little harder to get Hughes. All I'm saying.

It was clear that they did not want to bother him. I would probably, however flattered, be very nervous about a bunch of strangers who are obsessed with me coming over and having a chat. I get nervous just talking to people I DO know. It would've been awesome to see an interview but he understandably, just wanted out. I think he should've written something though, I don't mean to disrespect one of my favorite filmmakers but come on. Well, I guess that would be kind of hard to do to...Thank you, what else is there to say?

They managed to get those famous actors and behind-the-scenes professionals to do the interviews based on telling them they WOULD be interviewing Hughes. See, any credibility they have as "real" documentarians is immediately erased by the guy on the crutches basically wanting to ambush Hughes the whole time. He even wants to sneak a camera on the girl and then "tell Hughes he's being filmed if he asks". That's some underhanded and disgusting stuff. No maker of real documentaries would be that underhanded. Heck, I don't think Michael Moore is as fake and dishonest as this lot of frauds.
