Soo shoot me cause I actually liked it

I know everyone is on here talking about how it's faux indie and hipster and gay and whatnot. I'm not a 'hipster' at alllll by any means, so don't call me out and say that's why I liked it. I just found this movie genuine, whether it's been done before or not. Even though they were basically playing themselves, I felt a connection and a common ground that I don't normally get with other movies. Maybe I haven't seen enough 'true' indie flicks, but honestly this movie really isn't that bad. I thought it was sweet.

I agree this movie was very good. I loved Charlyne's acting. The people on here just seem to claim "Indie" movies suck and they kind of all sound like they are trying so hard not to be a part of a trend or cliche that they want to hate it. But I found it very good.

For a small budget movie it was pretty good. It was realistic, awkward, and funny. Ah, young love, lol brought some memories.

Yeah. If you're one of those brushing this off as a film with "no substance", it's like you sat there just assuming you were watching some "pretentious a-typical indie flick" (which is supposedly a subcategory for film! - independent film goes deeper then this and is significant in the history of cinema so *beep* you) instead of actualy taking anything in. Just because it follows a simple plot, it certainly does not have simple themes - this issue of LOVE is so complex, as is shown throughout the course of Charleyne's quest to find a meaning herself. I think it's something so relatable and honest. It's really well filmed, and the distortion between fact and fiction is somewhat alluring.
When it comes down to it though, this is just a sweet, honest film that was not self-concious but still considerate of what it was portraying.
I thought Charleyne was a wEiRd0 until I saw this and realised that that's kind of the point. She has such a good sense of humor and often reminds me of Andy Kaufman, especially in parts of this film, really cool.

P.S. The scene with the tarot card reader was ahhmazing, hahahaha.

I agree, I watched this last night and loved it, and now I'm shocked to come here and find this big hub-bub. I thought it was a great little movie, and I kind of like the doc/mock aspect to it (though I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't all real, I liked Mike and Chuck together!)

I liked it. I'm a simple person, I like simple things.
A lot of people are used to seeing sex, portray females as sex objects, glamour, more sex, dirty jokes, etc. When they see something like this, they're not used to it and they get uneasy and scared. They are afraid of change.
