It's making it look like it's set in Japan or something. I love the book and this is kind of strange. Does anybody know what's going on?

okay, i am confused. i was looking up hotel for dogs on wikipedia for my sister and i was on emma roberts page. it says that she had been announced in this movie? i hope its not japanese movie, not that they r bad, just that i cant see it as being japanese.
shareThere will be some international cast members in the movie( because the story is set in a international high school).
Both Emma Roberts and Anton Yelchin are in the movie but the dialog for them will most likely be english only when the rest of the cast will speak both japanese and english.
it'd be amazing if they released it in america the same time as japan. Matsuyama did such a wonderful job as L. It'd be pretty cool to see how he does this role as well.
i'm a bit confused though. would he be the japanese version od ace or james? James is more likely, right?
I think he's suppose to be James and Annton Yelchin will play Ace.

Horikita Maki will play Naomi Sukuse (they changed the last name to a japanese name so that the actress is japanese who will play Naomi)
OK, cool. Emma is playing Alice according to this, which I can sort of see. I think this will be good! It's better this way, I think, mixing cultures rather than just having a typical american teen flick, it will be a little more diverse.

sharei was on the set of this film (just a lowly extra. haha) and yeah.. it's in both english and japanese. it's supposed to be released later this year in japan.. and i heard rumors about it being released in the states in 2010 (because it's an american director, i suppose).. but i don't know if that's true.. if it is, it'd probably just be a dvd release.
