Anyone notice

The Cut scenes in the game are superb to the envision of how Terminator Salvation the movie should have looked. The movie never got the feeling right, no one was dieing, Terminators were lame, the environment was destroyed but didn't have the feel to the first two movies; the cut scenes cover that look and feel.
Anyone else feel this way?

I thought they got the feel of the film right in the way the levels are.. but should have had some more 'up close' fighting with the terminators as the detail is kinda lost when its a shootout from 100 yards away.

What day is it?....What year?.

I don't know about the cut scenes (hadn't though about that) but I did feel like this actually nailed a lot of things better than the movie did. Like John Conner in particular...in the film it's inexplicable why he's important. He doesn't seem inspiring or intelligent, like he did as a KID/young adult in the first three films and show. But this you can actually see how maybe he's just what was needed...nothing drastic about what he's doing, but the game actually shows how maybe this is plausible in a way the film doesn't at all.

I don't remember him reprogramming anything in the film either, and I love

*SPOILER!*

Him reprogramming that giant tank thing that's like from the flashforwards in either Terminator 1 or 2 (or maybe both).

As for the game...sure, it's short but I don't know, it doesn't overstay its welcome like so many games do. The gameplay's fun (on 'easy' anyway). There's something seriously cool about unloading blast after blast of a shotgun into a T-600's chest with NO EFFECT. The A.I. teammates worked well enough that you got to use a little strategy with each encounter, etc.

The music's worth a mention too...it's got all the iconic stuff here without feeling overbearing like the Star Wars themes sometimes do, and works well during both quiet moments and action.

I don't know...for me it's worth owning, though you need to go in with expectations set right, maybe.

Loved Rose McGowan in it! She was one of my favorite characters, and a fun surprise since I'm currently watching the last season of Charmed.
