Wait -- why no credit given to THE ODD COUPLE?

I'm amazed this show could get produced without The Odd Couple being referenced somewhere in the credits.

Don't see why they'd do that--there's no connection between the two, only a vague, archetypal similarity between the characters. And it was just as archetypal when The Odd Couple used it, and they didn't have to acknowledge any similarity to any of the other stories they resembled.

Old Guys is more like the film Grumpy Old Men than like The Odd Couple, right down to the redhead.
